Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight Preview – Ashley Seward Motorsport

The Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge season resumes this weekend at the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight, the first of two rounds in three weeks for the category.

Ashley Seward Motorsport will carry an unchanged driver lineup from the quartet who featured in round two, 10 weeks ago, around Symmons Plains Raceway. Andrew Goldie, Matt Slavin, Ross McGregor and Tim Wolfe.

Goldie and Slaving have enjoyed a healthy on track rivalry across the opening two rounds of the season, with the latter taking third at the opening round and Goldie striking back with third last time out. In the Pro-Am standings it’s Goldie with the upper hand, holding a 29-point lead over his teammate. Wolfe is seventh in the points, in his maiden season with the category, while McGregor has only contested one of the two rounds so far in 2023.

The trip to Sydney this weekend will feature the season’s only night race, with race one of the weekend kicking off at 6:25pm on Saturday Night. It will be the first time that Slavin and Wolfe have raced at the Eastern Creek circuit in Sprint Challenge, creating a busy Friday for them as they get up to speed with two practice sessions and qualifying soon after.

McGregor has made many starts at SMP, recently claiming three top-10 finishes in the category’s 2022 visit. That same year netted Goldie a pair of third place finishes and a spot on the Pro-Am round podium, a result he’ll be looking to replicate this time around.

All three races will be live on Fox Sports & Kayo this weekend.
